The MG Alba Scots Trad Music Awards

Known as the 'Folk Oscars', the 2015 MG ALBA Scots Trad Music Awards are broadcast live on BBC ALBA, featuring leading Scottish musicians and singers, including: Duncan Chisholm, Phil Cunningham and Aly Bain with Violet Tulloch, Claire Hastings (Winner - BBC Radio Scotland Young Traditional Musician of the Year 2015), Catriona McKay, Dosca, The Tom Orr Scottish Dance Band as well as an array of further Scottish traditional musician luminaries.

First started in 2003, The Scots Trad Music Awards generate over 100,000 public votes across 18 categories including: Album of the Year , Live Act of the Year, Gaelic Singer of the Year, etc.
